ARTIST NEWS: Country Music Superstar TG Sheppard is assembling a new team of industry professionals. Sheppard has enlisted Rob Battle, with Battle
Artist Agency for booking and Vanessa Davis, with Splash! Public Relations for publicity representation. Sheppard continues his more than 20 year management
relationship with manager RJ Kaltenbach. Announcements about his upcoming new projects will be coming soon.

9th annual Marty Stuart Late Night Jam raised more than $30,000 for MusiCares flood relief efforts. Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Gene Watson and Connie Smith

CD NEWS: Mark Chesnutt, the honky-tonkin’ torchbearer for the traditional country format, will revive the music from the outlaw movement of the 70s and
delivered with his new collection, OUTLAW. The release on Saguaro Road Records logo, the CD’s 12 tracks are a reverent homage courtesy of Chesnutt’s
masterful delivery, genuine Texas style and automatic-triggered talent. Mark’s career: Four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 No. 1 singles, and 23 Top
10 singles to his credit. Chesnutt shines in his interpretation of the 12 OUTLAW recordings produced and arranged by Pete Anderson (one of my favs).
Chesnutt releases the first OUTLAW single, the legendary Kristofferson-penned “Lovin’ Her Was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again),” to radio on
August 2, 2010.
CMA MUSIC FEST NEWS: The first four nightly sellouts in CMA Music Festival history crown the most successful such event since the inception of Fan
Fair in 1972. Average nightly attendance of 49,000 equaled a 16.7% increase. Attendance at the daytime Riverfront Park was up 6.4% over last year, while
estimated daily attendance festival-wide was 65,000, up from 56,000 in 2009. Four-day ticket package sales were up 33.3%, causing many single-show
nightly tickets to be turned into packages, resulting in a year-over-year dip in single-ticket sales.
INDIE ARTIST NEWS: Flynnville Train participated in a successful CMA Fest 2010 last month. Their new single release, entitled “Preachin’ To The Choir”
was released last month. The group appeared in a number of booths, signing autographs and visiting with fans, new and old. Their latest project, REDEMPTION,
comes from the indie label Next Evolution Records. The 11 tracks were co-produced with David Barrick in the family-owned Barrick Recording Studio

MUSIC NEWS: The competition to become Tennessee’s new state song has been won by “Smoky Mountain Rain,” made famous by country music star
Ronnie Milsap who has had 40 #1 hits, “Smokey Mountain Rain” being one of them. Tennessee already has seven official state songs, more than any other
state, “Tennessee Waltz” and “Rocky Top” being the most famous.
