Indie Songstress Collaborates With Cage The Elephant Guitarist

Nashville-based piano songbird Rebecca Roubion announces her debut LP “Sleepless Nights,” produced by Lincoln Parish, former electric guitarist and co-founding member of the American rock band Cage The Elephant. The project releases May 6.

Likened to airy muses Feist and Norah Jones, Roubion’s unexpected collaboration with Parish fuses their polarized worlds of indie-folk and rock n’ roll. The result? A side of Roubion no one has seen – where organic meets synth and modern meets old-school, all anchored around big drum grooves and Roubion’s gripping lead vocal.

“My goal for this record is to have her identity on it, but for people to be like, ‘Oh, this is a Rebecca Roubion record? I wasn’t expecting that!'” said Parish.

Dualtone Music Group is distributing and licensing the record, unveiling the single “Anywhere I Go” on April 8 along with the digital pre-order launch.

In addition to Roubion’s brilliant piano stylings and Parish’s signature guitar licks, other cameos on the project include the Wallflowers’ Rami Jaffee, Band of Horses’ Bill Reynolds and Cage the Elephant’s Jared Champion.

Rebecca’s latest video is for her song “Love Me Now”
